This is a set of internal letters of “Gramophone” company that were exchanged between the representatives and lawyer of the company in Egypt and the mother company “Gramophone”. These letters show the relations the company has with the great Manyalawi, who stayed on the hit parade of their sales until 1930, which means about twenty years after his death in 1911. Among what these letters show is how they tried to cheat on him by declaring that some recordings were damaged, so he had to record some extra songs. “Gramophone” released all the “damaged” recording after he passed away.
